We specialise in Dyness lithium iron phosphate batteries. For homes we install the Dyness Powerbox G2, available in modular increments up to 51.2 kWh. For commercial and industrial properties we install the Dyness Stack 100, which scales from 51.2 kWh per tower to 150 kWh and can be expanded further. Both use LiFePO4 chemistry, the safest and longest-cycling battery technology available. We recommend the right system and size after a free site assessment.
Everything. We supply and install the battery modules, mounting hardware, all electrical cabling and protection devices, and the inverter if one is required. We commission the system, handle all grid connection paperwork with your network operator, and manage the AS/NZS 5139 compliance documentation. You do not need to organise anything separately. We coordinate the complete job from quote to handover.
Installed pricing depends on system size, your existing electrical setup, and the complexity of the installation. As a rough guide, a single Dyness Powerbox G2 module (10.24 kWh) installed typically starts from around $6,000 to $8,000 after the applicable government rebate. Larger multi-module systems are priced proportionally. We provide a fixed written quote after a free site assessment. No hidden costs, no variations after the fact.
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program provides an upfront discount on eligible battery systems through Small-Scale Technology Certificates — but it requires existing solar panels already installed, or a new solar system being installed at the same time as the battery. If you have solar or are adding both together, the rebate is applied directly to your installation cost. You do not need to claim it yourself. As a NETCC Approved Seller we handle the entire process and include it in your written quote.
You can install a battery without solar — you charge it from cheap off-peak grid electricity overnight and use that stored power during peak-rate periods, which can reduce your bills. However, the government rebate under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program requires existing solar panels or a new solar system installed at the same time as the battery. If you want to qualify for the rebate, you either need solar already or we can scope a combined solar and battery system together.
Yes, when the system is configured for backup operation. During a grid outage the battery disconnects from the grid and powers your home independently. Not all inverter configurations support this by default, so we discuss your blackout protection requirements during the site assessment and design the system accordingly. If backup power is a priority, let us know upfront and we will make sure it is built in.
Every job we take on is coordinated and overseen by our team, start to finish. Rhys does the site assessment and quote personally. We work with trusted licensed electricians who meet our standards on every job. We manage the grid connection paperwork, the compliance documentation, and the commissioning. When the truck leaves your driveway, the job is not over — we are contactable directly for the life of your system.
The Dyness Powerbox G2 and Stack 100 both carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty, including a guarantee of 8,000 charge cycles and at least 70% remaining capacity at year ten. Our workmanship is also warranted. Importantly, we are a local Melbourne business. If anything needs attention under warranty, you call the same number you called on day one. You will never be redirected to an overseas support line.
Yes. Our Dyness systems are compatible with major Australian Virtual Power Plants. A VPP lets you earn bill credits by allowing your retailer to draw small amounts of energy from your battery during peak grid demand events. Participation is always voluntary and the events are brief. We can advise on VPP programmes available in your area when we discuss your system.
It starts with a call or email. Rhys will ask a few questions about your property and energy situation, then arrange a free site assessment, usually within the week. You receive a fixed-price written quote the same day or the following morning. Once you accept, we book an installation date, submit the grid connection application, and carry out the full installation with our trusted local team. We handle all the paperwork. On completion day we commission the system and walk you through everything before we leave.
